Running through the Orchards...
Renee Austin is an elegant bridal boutique in the Grand Rapids area. I had the chance to visit when my best friend was getting married—time for dress shopping! The dresses at RA are truly jaw-dropping. Watching my friend try on dresses, experiencing RA's excellent customer service, and seeing the confidence they instilled in her was captivating.
I reached out to RA about collaborating, and they were enthusiastic from the start, already having a concept in mind. With Halloween approaching, they wanted to showcase a beautiful Maggie Sottero gown that needed to be photographed. We decided to meet at Robbinetts Apple Haus, where they brought a handful of unique dresses and accessories for me to capture.
Being able to improvise creatively is a skill I've honed, and that's exactly what this shoot demanded. It transitioned seamlessly from a hauntingly beautiful bride to brides frolicking through an orchard like fairies.
